Job Title: Deputy Hospital Director Reference: RCH/HRM/01/2020
Salary Scale: RS 3
Reports to: Hospital Director
Qualifications: An MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
Age: 40-60 years
Experience: Should have experience in Health Services gained over a period of
three (3) years in relevant fields at the level of Medical Officer.
Other requirements: Should have strong management,
communication and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a). Deputize the Hospital Director
b). Plans and budget for Health Service delivery prepared;
c). Accountability for medical, fiscal and other resources made;
d). Patients diagnosed and treated;
e). Implementation of the Uganda Minimum Health Care Package coordinated;
f). Health information management systems supervised;
g). Medicines, equipment and other supplies procured;
h). Medical Human resource management functions carried out;
i). Health service delivery standards manuals provided;
j). Occupational health and safety at work place ensured;
k). Hospital infrastructure and equipment maintained;
l). Continuous Professional Development programmes developed and implemented;
m). Reports prepared and submitted to relevant authorities;
n). National Health Service Delivery standards adhered to;
o). Professional & Service Codes of Conduct & Ethics enforced.
q). Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director
Relevant Documents include the following:
a) Academic and professional certificates (UCE, UACE, Professional Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, Fellowships).
b) Evidence of training in specialized areas where applicable.
c) Letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion where applicable.
d) Registration certificates and valid practicing licenses for health workers who are required by law to register with relevant Professional Councils.
e) National and current Institutional Identity Cards.
f) Priority should be given to uploading only the relevant documents in the job specifications. Shortlisted applicants
